Ep 2: Caregiver Exhaustion: No One Talks About This Kind of Tired

Rubber-Meets-The-Road Tools

Small things. Real things.
Because you don’t have energy for big things.

  1. Name the Right Tired
    • Instead of saying, “I’m just tired.” Try: “I am emotionally exhausted from loving someone through something hard.”
    • Naming it correctly gives you permission to stop minimizing it.
  2. The “Good Enough” Rule
    • Today:
      • good enough meals
      • good enough conversations
      • good enough work
      • good enough energy
    • Perfection is not allowed in survival seasons.
  3. Let People Help (Without Managing Them)
    • If people ask, “What can I do?”
      • Send this: “If you really want to help, pick something and do it. A meal. A prayer. A text. A visit. I don’t have the bandwidth to decide.”
    • You are not rude. You are protecting your capacity.
  4. One Small Refill
    • Each day choose ONE:
      • sit in silence for 5 minutes
      • step outside
      • take a hot shower
      • listen to worship music
      • cry
      • breathe
    • Not to “fix” you… to remind your nervous system it’s safe.
